How to Retain Your Online Customers
Now that you have your customers that buy your network products or services online, how do you retain them and keep them as the loyal customers that continue to buy from you?
The answer is relationship marketing.
Relationship building is the foundation of your business. It establishes you as a professional, trustworthy, and consistent source.
Building relationships online is more difficult when compared to offline relationship building. The techniques used are almost the same. But, turning a potential customer into a lifetime customer offline is easier due to the nature of the process. In online marketing, you can’t meet your clients in person like in offline marketing. But, thanks to the internet, it makes relationship marketing a lot easier.
I know, many online marketers will tell you to use the email marketing method. But to do that, you need to have a website or a landing page, do the A/B testing, learn how to do email marketing, spend some money every month on the system, and so on. It costs you money and requires more time and effort for it to work.
If you have just started your network marketing business, all these can be rather overwhelming and distract you from focusing on your real income-producing activity.
How to retain your online customers?
#1. Create a Facebook Group
This is a free and easy method, and you can have unlimited members in the group.
You can invite all your customers and potential customers into your Facebook group, and share all the updates about your products or services in this group. Besides, you can also share all the promotions, free gifts and even teach them how to use your products via a post or a video demonstration here.
You can also use the ATM method in your Facebook group. ATM is Add, Tag, Message method. Every customer is different in their needs. After you ADD them to your Facebook group, you can TAG them to the relevant post, and MESSAGE them to follow up.
Facebook group is a great place to build relationships and nurture your customers or potential customers.
If your upline leader is already having a Facebook group for this purpose, you may leverage their group instead of creating your own.
#2. Create a Whatsapp or Telegram Group
Similar to Method #1 above, You can invite all your customers and the potential customers into your Whatsapp or Telegram group, and share all the updates about your products or services in this group.
The only disadvantage is that Whatsapp or Telegram group is less organizing compare to the Facebook group, and you can’t really use the ATM method effectively. New members cannot see the earlier messages that were sent out before they join the group.
However, not all customers or potential customers are active on Facebook. Some may prefer Whatsapp or Telegram instead. So, this is a good free method to add members that are not active on Facebook.
#3. Create a Whatsapp Broadcast List
This works similar to email broadcast but much quicker and easier to set up, and it’s free!
You can create the broadcast list on your Whatsapp, and add your contacts here. You just need to send out the message once in this broadcast list, and all the contacts under this list will receive your message as if you are sending this to them personally, without you manually sending out the message to hundreds of your customers one by one.
However, this method is not that suitable to nurture your customers or potential customers with product info, usage, testimonials, etc. as you will come across as spammy. This method is more suitable to update them about the promotions.
